There are two ways to install Yahoo Messenger on your mobile phone: Go to the Yahoo Messenger website (see Resources below) from any computer connected to the Internet and enter your mobile phone number in the top right corner of the page labeled "Get Started!" Yahoo will send a link to your mobile phone to install Yahoo Messenger. You can also visit the Yahoo Messenger website (see Resources below) from your mobile phone's Internet browser. That page will guide you through the installation of the Yahoo Messenger software.
Install the Yahoo Messenger software on your mobile phone and sign in with the same user name and password that you use for your computer version of Messenger. Once you are signed in, you will be able to see your contact lists, change your status, and send and receive messages just like you could from your computer.
Make sure you have a subscription for mobile Internet access in place on your phone before using the Yahoo Messenger application, or you will be charged for each message you send. Some mobile phones will not work at all with Yahoo Messenger if you do not have a subscription for mobile Internet access. Check the details for your specific mobile phone and carrier
